The 3M 7100024611 is a Scotch-Brite Surface Conditioning Belt designed for detail finishing work on metal surfaces. Built on a reinforced nonwoven open-web construction with an aluminum oxide abrasive and resin bond over a scrim backing, this belt handles blending, deburring, contour finishing, flat finishing, and straightline-brushed finish applications. The open-web structure reduces loading and heat buildup, allowing for extended run time without sacrificing consistent surface results. At 21 inches long and 1.12 inches wide, it fits narrow-contact and detail belt configurations used in fabrication and finishing shops.
This belt is suited for metalworking applications including blending weld seams, cleaning oxidation, removing grind lines and mill marks, deburring edges, and setting grain on stainless steel and other metals. It performs in both manual and robotic processing environments. The conformable nonwoven construction keeps the abrasive in contact with complex geometries, making it effective on curved, contoured, and irregular workpiece profiles common in sheet metal fabrication and structural steel work.
