The 3M 7100024045 is a two-part, non-sag, toughened methyl methacrylate (MMA) based structural adhesive sold under the Scotch-Weld DP8410NS designation. It ships in a 490 mL cartridge and mixes at a 10:1 ratio, delivering a 10-minute work life and handling strength in approximately 25 minutes. The green color aids visual confirmation of proper mixing. Designed for structural bonding applications, it provides strong impact resistance and adhesion to a wide range of substrates including plastics and metals, even those with slightly oily surfaces. Licensed applicators and assembly technicians working in manufacturing, fabrication, and maintenance environments are the primary users of this product.
This adhesive is suited for bonding dissimilar materials in both light industrial and heavy manufacturing settings. It performs well in applications where vibration resistance and impact toughness are required, such as panel bonding, fixture assembly, and structural repairs on metal and plastic components. The non-sag formulation makes it practical for vertical and overhead surface applications where adhesive migration before cure would be a concern.
Requires the 3M Scotch-Weld EPX Plus II Applicator, compatible mix nozzles, and plungers for dispensing. These accessories are not included and must be sourced separately. Cartridge is designed for use with 490 mL EPX Plus II format applicators.
This product must be dispensed using the appropriate EPX Plus II applicator and mix nozzle to ensure the correct 10:1 ratio is maintained throughout application. Surfaces should be clean, dry, and free of loose contaminants before bonding, though the adhesive is formulated to tolerate light oil films on metal. Follow all applicable safety data sheet (SDS) guidelines for ventilation and personal protective equipment when working with MMA-based adhesives. Discard the used mix nozzle after each session and cap the cartridge to prevent premature cure at the tip.
