Micron-graded aluminum oxide particles are formed into three-dimensional pyramids and bonded to an X-weight cloth backing. As the outer layer of each pyramid wears away, fresh sharp mineral is exposed beneath it, delivering a consistent cut rate and a repeatable, fine surface finish across the full life of the belt. The belt measures 48 inches in length and 6 inches in width. It is designed for intermediate finishing and fine polishing stages that precede plating or buffing operations.
