The 3M 7010383955 is a plasticizer resistant nylon loop fastener roll designed for demanding adhesive bonding applications where standard fasteners fail. The loop material pairs with a plasticizer resistant PSA acrylic adhesive coated on a clear 3.5 mil polyethylene film liner. Engaged thickness is 3.1 mm. The adhesive delivers medium temperature performance and bonds well to paint, bare metal, painted metal, glass, sealed wood, and many plastics. This roll measures 4 inches wide by 50 yards long and is intended for indoor use. HVAC, automotive interior, and general industrial technicians use this fastener where plasticizer migration from vinyl or flexible substrates would degrade a standard acrylic adhesive.
This loop fastener is suited for indoor installation on high surface energy (HSE) and low surface energy (LSE) substrates. Typical applications include securing panels, covers, insulation blankets, and flexible components in assemblies where plasticizer outgassing is present. The roll format allows field cutting to length. It mates directly with the 3M SJ3522 hook fastener, enabling a complete hook-and-loop assembly when both components are used together.
Mates with 3M SJ3522 hook fastener to form a complete hook-and-loop assembly. Designed for indoor bonding applications on HSE and LSE surfaces including paint, metal, glass, sealed wood, and many plastics.
Clean and dry the substrate thoroughly before applying the adhesive-backed loop fastener. Remove the polyethylene film liner and press the fastener firmly onto the surface, applying even pressure across the full width to ensure full adhesive contact. Allow adequate dwell time before loading the bond. This fastener is rated for indoor use only — avoid outdoor or high-moisture environments that exceed the product design parameters.
