The 3M 7010379114 is an acrylic adhesive transfer tape designed for general-purpose surface bonding across a wide range of substrates. The 5.0 mil acrylic adhesive delivers very high initial tack and bonds reliably to textured, rough, and low-surface-energy (LSE) plastics as well as foam. Supplied in roll form, this tape is well suited for fabrication, assembly, and die-cutting operations. It carries a high temperature resistance rating of up to 250 degrees F (121 degrees C), making it appropriate for applications where heat exposure is a concern. A 60 Densified Kraft liner simplifies handling and liner removal during die-cutting and converting work.
This transfer tape is intended for general-purpose bonding in industrial, manufacturing, and assembly applications. It performs well on difficult-to-bond substrates including LSE plastics and open-cell or closed-cell foam. Common use cases include bonding nameplates, gaskets, foam components, and lightweight panels in environments subject to humidity, chemical exposure, or UV light. It functions as the thicker counterpart to the 3M Adhesive Transfer Tape 9471, offering increased adhesive mass for demanding surface profiles.
Designed as a general-purpose acrylic transfer tape for bonding applications involving textured surfaces, LSE plastics, and foam substrates in industrial and manufacturing environments.
Surface preparation is critical before application — clean and degrease all substrates to remove oils, dust, and release agents. Apply firm, uniform pressure across the bond area to ensure full adhesive contact, especially on textured surfaces. When die-cutting, use the 60 DK liner as the cutting surface to protect the adhesive layer. Follow applicable workplace safety guidelines when working with solvents used during surface prep.
