The 3M 7010365869 is a non-woven surface conditioning belt designed for precision finishing and surface preparation across a wide range of metal and composite substrates. Built on a durable cloth and polyester scrim backing, it offers moderate stretch resistance suited for consistent belt-driven finishing operations. The aluminum oxide abrasive mineral is bonded in a resin system within an open-web nylon fiber structure, which resists loading and helps maintain a clean cutting action throughout the belt's service life. This belt measures 72 inches in length and 3 inches in width. It is installed and used by metalworkers, fabricators, and surface finishing technicians.
This belt is well suited for surface conditioning tasks on stainless steel, brass, aluminum, and similar substrates in fabrication shops, job sites, and production environments. Its springy non-woven nylon fibers allow the belt to conform to workpiece geometry, making it effective for blending, deburring, and light material removal without marring or distorting the substrate. The open-web construction prevents swarf buildup, extending usable service life even in demanding continuous-use scenarios.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit consumable for wide-belt sanders and stroke sanders that accept 3 inch by 72 inch non-woven surface conditioning belts.
Belt installation should be performed by a qualified operator familiar with abrasive belt equipment. Power down and lock out the machine before mounting or removing any belt. Verify belt tracking and tension per the equipment manufacturer's guidelines before resuming operation. Inspect the belt for tears or delamination prior to each use and do not exceed the rated operating speed of the machine.
