The 3M 7010365704 is a 5-inch non-woven hook-and-loop abrasive disc from the Scotch-Brite 7448 PRO line, designed for surface preparation, light scuffing, and fine finishing work. Built with a flexible non-woven web and ultra fine grade aluminum oxide abrasive, this disc delivers consistent scratch patterns and a smooth surface finish. The load-resistant and heat-resistant construction maintains cutting performance over the full life of the disc. Automotive body technicians, metal fabricators, woodworkers, and composite finishers use this disc for prepping surfaces prior to paint or primer application and for general hand blending tasks.
This disc is suited for use on metal, wood, plastics, and composites in both light industrial and shop environments. It is a direct alternative to steel wool grade 00, wire brushes, and other non-woven finishing products for cleaning, blending, prepping, and finishing operations. The denser mineral placement compared to the standard 7448 disc supports a uniform scratch pattern and a faster cut rate. The disc conforms to irregular and contoured surfaces without losing finishing performance, making it useful in body shops, fabrication shops, and general maintenance settings.
Designed for use with 5-inch hook-and-loop backing pads compatible with standard non-woven abrasive discs used in surface preparation and finishing applications.
This disc is installed by attaching it to a compatible 5-inch hook-and-loop backing pad on a random orbital or right-angle tool. Verify the tool RPM rating does not exceed the disc rating before use. Disconnect power to any electric tool before mounting or removing the disc. Operators should wear appropriate personal protective equipment including eye protection and respiratory protection when abrading metal, wood, or composite surfaces.
