The 3M 7010365231 is a precut floor surfacing disc engineered for aggressive stock removal on wood and similar floor surfaces. It uses a sharp, fast-cutting synthetic mineral abrasive bonded to a tough, flexible paper or combination backing. At 16 grit, this disc is suited for coarse material removal, leveling, and initial surfacing passes on hardwood floors, subfloors, and similar substrates. The 7-inch diameter with a 7/8-inch arbor hole fits standard floor edgers and disc sanders commonly used in floor restoration and finishing work. Sold individually, with a minimum order quantity of 50 units per purchase.
This disc is designed for floor surfacing applications in residential and light commercial settings. It is well suited for the opening pass on rough or unfinished wood floors, removal of old coatings, and leveling of uneven surfaces before finer grit finishing sequences. Floor finishing contractors and restoration professionals are the primary users. The combination of a flexible backing and coarse synthetic mineral makes this disc effective on flat floor surfaces where consistent, controlled cutting action is needed across a large area.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement disc for standard 7-inch floor edger sanders and disc sanding machines used in floor surfacing applications.
Floor surfacing discs are installed and serviced by flooring contractors and finish carpenters using disc-style floor edgers. Before changing discs, power down the machine and disconnect it from the power source. Inspect the backing pad for wear or damage before mounting a new disc. Follow equipment manufacturer guidelines and applicable safety standards when operating floor sanding equipment.
