The 3M 7010363665 Cubitron II 775L is a coated abrasive film disc engineered for aggressive stock removal on a range of substrates. The disc uses 3M Precision Shaped Grain, a triangular ceramic mineral that slices through material rather than plowing or gouging like conventional abrasives. The result is a disc that cuts up to 2 times faster and lasts up to 6 times longer than standard abrasive discs. At 5 inches in diameter and available in assorted grits, this disc ships in a pack of 20 units. It is installed and used by metalworkers, fabricators, and finishing technicians performing surface prep and material removal tasks.
The 775L is suited for stock removal applications across a wide range of materials including metals and alloys commonly encountered in fabrication and manufacturing environments. The film backing resists tearing and maintains edge integrity under load, making it appropriate for both flat and contoured surfaces. The Hookit attachment system allows fast disc changes without tools, reducing downtime during production work. This disc is intended for use with compatible 5 inch random orbital or disc sanders that accept Hookit-style hook-and-loop fastening.
Designed for use with 5 inch random orbital sanders and disc grinders equipped with a Hookit hook-and-loop attachment interface. Suitable for stock removal across a wide variety of substrates.
Installation is performed by pressing the disc firmly onto a compatible Hookit backup pad until the hook-and-loop interface is fully engaged. Inspect the backup pad for worn or contaminated hooks before attaching a new disc, as a degraded pad reduces holding force during operation. Always power down and unplug the tool before changing discs. Operate within the maximum RPM rating printed on the disc or packaging.
