The 3M 7010363306 is a Type 29 ceramic flap disc designed for aggressive material removal on steels and stainless steel. It features a 4.5-inch diameter with a 5/8-11 threaded arbor hole and runs at a maximum of 13,300 RPM. The disc uses a coarse 40-grit ceramic abrasive on a poly-cotton cloth backing rated at Y-weight, delivering consistent cut rate and long service life under heavy grinding loads. This combination of high-density flap construction and ceramic grain makes it suited for weld removal, surface blending, and edge work in fabrication and maintenance environments.
This flap disc is intended for use with 4.5-inch angle grinders equipped with a 5/8-11 spindle. The Type 29 conical geometry provides a larger contact area than a flat Type 27 disc, making it well suited for aggressive stock removal and contour work on flat and curved surfaces. Typical applications include weld grinding, deburring, and surface preparation on carbon steel and stainless steel workpieces in metal fabrication shops, structural steel work, and maintenance and repair operations.

Installation is performed by metalworkers and maintenance technicians using a standard 4.5-inch angle grinder. Verify the grinder spindle speed rating meets or exceeds the disc maximum of 13,300 RPM before mounting. Power down and disconnect the grinder from its power source before mounting or removing the disc. Always inspect the disc for damage prior to use and confirm the arbor nut is fully seated and tightened per the grinder manufacturer guidelines.
