The 3M 7010361459 is a Trizact 237AA coated abrasive belt designed for intermediate finishing and fine polishing applications. It uses 3M microreplication technology, where micron-graded aluminum oxide mineral is formed into three-dimensional pyramids and bonded to an X-weight cloth backing. As the pyramids wear during use, fresh sharp mineral is continuously exposed. This self-sharpening action delivers a consistent cut rate and a predictable fine finish across the belt's full service life. The belt measures 118 inches in length and 4 inches in width. It is installed and used by metalworking professionals, fabricators, and finishing technicians on wide-belt and stroke-sander equipment.
This belt is suited for intermediate finishing and fine polishing on metal components prior to plating or buffing operations. The flexible X-weight cloth backing conforms to contoured surfaces, making it appropriate for parts with irregular geometry. The three-dimensional abrasive structure also supports consistent, repeatable results in robotic and automated sanding applications where uniform finish quality across a production run is required. It produces finer surface finishes than conventional electrostatically coated abrasive belts of comparable grit designation.
Designed for use on wide-belt sanders, stroke sanders, and compatible automated finishing equipment that accepts 118-inch by 4-inch abrasive belts.
Install and tension the belt according to the machine manufacturer's specifications before operation. Power down and lock out the sanding machine before changing belts. Inspect belt tracking and tension after initial startup and adjust as needed. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment including eye protection and respiratory protection when operating abrasive equipment.
