The 3M 7010359931 is a Trizact 237AA coated abrasive belt designed for intermediate finishing and fine polishing applications. It uses 3M microreplication technology in which micron-graded aluminum oxide particles are formed into uniform three-dimensional pyramids and bonded to an X weight cloth backing. As the pyramids wear during use, fresh cutting edges are continuously exposed, producing a consistent cut rate and a predictable fine finish from the first pass to the last. The flexible cloth backing allows the belt to conform to contoured surfaces without losing cutting consistency. This belt measures 72 inches in length and 1.5 inches in width.
This belt is suited for intermediate finishing and fine polishing steps that precede plating, buffing, or final surface treatment. It performs well in both manual and robotic grinding and finishing operations. The three-dimensional abrasive structure makes it particularly reliable in automated applications where finish repeatability is critical across high part volumes. Metalworking shops, fabrication facilities, and finishing operations working with steel, stainless, aluminum, and similar substrates are the primary users of this product. A licensed or trained metalworking or industrial maintenance professional typically specifies and installs this belt.
Designed as a replacement or standard-stock abrasive belt for belt grinders, finishing machines, and automated abrasive systems that accept a 72 inch by 1.5 inch belt configuration.
Install on a belt grinder or finishing machine rated for the belt dimensions before powering on the equipment. De-energize and lock out the machine before mounting or removing the belt. Inspect the belt for tears or edge damage before each use. Follow the equipment manufacturer guidelines for belt tension and tracking to prevent premature belt failure or workpiece damage.
