The 3M 7010350254 is a thin-wall heat shrink tubing designed for environmental protection and electrical insulation on wire splices, terminations, and cable bundles. Sold as individual 6-inch pieces, this tubing is part of the 3M EPS-300 series and features a 3/16-inch nominal diameter in black. It shrinks with applied heat to form a snug, protective sleeve around conductors or connections. Electricians and wire harness technicians use it where moisture resistance and mechanical protection are needed in a low-profile package. The thin-wall construction makes it well suited for tight routing paths and multi-conductor applications.
This tubing is used in residential, commercial, and light industrial electrical work, as well as in automotive and panel wiring applications. It is appropriate wherever a compact, insulating sleeve is needed over soldered joints, butt splices, or wire terminals. Each piece measures 6 inches in length, giving the installer workable length for most standard termination tasks. The product ships in packs of 10 pieces, with 10 packs per case for larger job requirements.
Designed as a general-purpose heat shrink sleeve for use over wire splices, terminals, and cable bundles where a 3/16-inch thin-wall tubing profile is required.
Installation is performed by electricians or wire technicians using a heat gun or similar controlled heat source. De-energize all circuits before applying any heat shrink tubing to live conductors. Apply heat evenly along the length of the tubing to ensure uniform shrinkage without scorching. Follow applicable NEC guidelines for insulation ratings and conductor protection in the intended installation environment.
