The 3M 7010339847 is a medium-performance pressure-sensitive adhesive nylon loop fastener supplied in a 5/8-inch-wide by 50-yard roll in black. The backing is coated with a modified rubber adhesive that bonds to a wide range of common surfaces. This fastener is the loop component of a hook-and-loop system and is intended for indoor applications where a reliable, repositionable, or permanent mechanical attachment is needed without hardware. Trades and assembly professionals use it for panel mounting, cable management, signage attachment, and light fixture or equipment labeling inside controlled environments.
This roll is suited for light commercial and residential interior use. The modified rubber adhesive bonds well to paper and cardboard, painted and bare metal, glass, sealed wood, fabrics, and many plastics. It is not rated for outdoor or high-moisture environments. Typical applications include HVAC duct insulation facing attachment, electrical panel label retention, equipment identification tags, and general-purpose interior fastening where screws or rivets are not practical.
Designed as the loop component for use with a compatible hook fastener strip in standard hook-and-loop attachment systems for indoor applications on surfaces including paper, cardboard, bare and painted metal, glass, sealed wood, fabrics, and many plastics.
Surface preparation is critical for adhesive performance — clean and dry the mounting surface thoroughly before applying the strip. A licensed technician or experienced installer should confirm the substrate is compatible with pressure-sensitive rubber adhesive before committing the full roll. Apply firm pressure along the entire bonded length to ensure full adhesive contact. Do not expose installed fastener to standing moisture, outdoor conditions, or temperatures outside the rated medium-temperature range.
