The 3M 7010337263 is a dead-soft aluminum foil tape designed for demanding seaming, sealing, heat shielding, and chemical masking applications across HVAC, industrial, and specialty trade work. The backing conforms readily to curved and uneven surfaces, while the pressure-sensitive acrylic adhesive bonds firmly for long-term durability and removes cleanly after masking operations. The tape withstands exposure to flame, moisture, UV, and weathering, making it reliable in harsh service environments. It carries UL recognition to UL 746C and a UL Classification to UL 723 Class L for low flammability. Each roll measures 2 inches wide by 60 yards long.
This tape is suited for residential and commercial HVAC duct seaming and sealing, heat-reflective shielding around temperature-sensitive components, light enhancement in fixture assemblies, and chemical milling or de-paint masking on metal surfaces. HVAC technicians, sheet metal mechanics, industrial maintenance workers, and electricians all use this product as part of standard service and fabrication workflows. The thermally conductive foil backing helps dissipate heat and supports heating and cooling efficiency in duct and equipment assemblies.
Designed for use in HVAC duct seaming and sealing, heat shielding, light enhancement, chemical milling, and masking applications across a broad range of industrial and trade environments.
Installation is typically performed by HVAC technicians, sheet metal mechanics, or industrial maintenance personnel. Power down or de-energize any adjacent electrical components before applying tape in proximity to live circuits. Ensure the substrate surface is clean, dry, and free of oils or loose material before application to achieve full adhesive contact. Follow all applicable local codes and manufacturer guidelines for duct sealing and heat-shielding applications.
