The 3M 7010328215 is a Trizact 307EA coated abrasive belt designed for intermediate finishing and fine polishing applications across metal fabrication and surface prep workflows. It uses a microreplication process in which micron-graded aluminum oxide particles are formed into structured pyramidal shapes and bonded to a flexible rayon cloth backing. As the pyramids wear during use, fresh mineral is continuously exposed, delivering a consistent cut rate and repeatable finish quality from start to finish. The belt measures 132 inches in length and 2.5 inches in width, making it suitable for wide belt grinding and polishing machines. Metalworking shops, fabricators, and automated finishing lines are the primary users.
This belt is intended for intermediate finishing stages and fine polishing prior to plating, buffing, or coating operations on metal workpieces. The flexible rayon backing conforms to contoured and complex surfaces, maintaining consistent abrasive contact across irregular profiles. The structured pyramid geometry performs predictably in robotic and automated belt finishing systems, where uniform finish output across an entire belt run is critical. It produces finer surface finishes than conventional electrostatically coated abrasive belts of comparable grit designation.
Designed for use on wide belt finishing machines that accept 132-inch by 2.5-inch abrasive belts. Suitable for metal fabrication, surface conditioning, and automated polishing systems where consistent fine finishing is required.
Belt installation should be performed by a qualified machine operator following the equipment manufacturer's belt tensioning and tracking procedures. Ensure the machine is fully powered down and locked out before changing belts. Verify belt direction-of-travel arrows align with machine rotation before startup. Inspect the platen or contact wheel for wear or damage prior to mounting a new belt.
