The 3M 7010325937 is a Trizact 237AA coated abrasive belt designed for intermediate finishing and fine polishing applications. It uses 3M microreplication technology in which micron-graded aluminum oxide particles are formed into uniform three-dimensional pyramids and bonded to an X-weight cloth backing. As the pyramids wear during use, fresh abrasive mineral is continuously exposed, producing a consistent cut rate and a predictable, fine surface finish throughout the life of the belt. The flexible cloth backing conforms to contoured workpiece surfaces, making it well suited to both manual and automated grinding operations.
This belt is intended for intermediate finishing and fine polishing steps performed prior to plating or buffing. Its three-dimensional abrasive structure supports consistent finish results in robotic and automated applications where repeatable performance across large production runs is required. The self-sharpening pyramid design generates less heat than conventional abrasives, reducing the risk of workpiece discoloration or thermal damage. It produces finer finishes than traditionally electrostatically coated abrasive belts of comparable grit designation.
Designed for use on belt grinding and finishing machines that accept 264-inch length by 6-inch width abrasive belts; confirm machine specifications before ordering.
Belt installation and tracking should be performed by qualified personnel familiar with the grinder or finishing machine in use. Power down and lock out the machine before mounting or removing the belt. Verify belt travel direction matches the arrow marked on the belt backing before operation. Inspect the belt and machine platens or contact wheels for damage prior to each use.
