The 3M 7010312303 is a 2 mil acrylic adhesive transfer tape designed for bonding dissimilar substrates in fabrication and assembly applications. The tape uses a high-tack 300-series acrylic adhesive that delivers strong initial adhesion without a carrier film, transferring cleanly to the target surface. A 60 densified kraft (DK) liner reinforces the tape during laminating, die-cutting, and other converting processes, providing the dimensional stability needed for precise processing. At 12 inches wide and 180 yards long, each roll covers substantial run length for production environments. HVAC fabricators, sheet metal shops, and industrial assembly technicians commonly work with this product.
This adhesive transfer tape is well suited for bonding foams, gaskets, and low surface energy plastics including polyethylene and polypropylene. It also performs in splicing applications involving films, foils, fabrics, and coated papers where a thin, clean bond line is required. The 2 mil thickness makes it appropriate for applications where a thicker tape would add unacceptable bulk. It serves as a thinner alternative to 3M Adhesive Transfer Tape 950 in applications where reduced tape thickness is a design requirement.

Surface preparation is critical before applying any pressure-sensitive adhesive transfer tape — clean and dry all bonding surfaces to remove oils, dust, and contaminants. Apply firm, uniform pressure across the bond area to ensure full adhesive contact. When die-cutting, use sharp tooling and allow the DK liner to support the tape through the cut. Remove the liner cleanly at a low angle to avoid stretching the adhesive layer before application.
