The 3M 7010300834 is a high-strength, non-woven abrasive disc from the Scotch-Brite HS-DC line, engineered for general-purpose surface conditioning on metal workpieces. Built on a durable, open-web construction, it runs cool and resists loading, allowing the aluminum oxide abrasive to maintain a consistent cut rate from first use through the end of disc life. Rated for operation up to 1300 RPM, this 16-inch diameter disc is suited for deburring, denibing, defuzzing, cleaning, and achieving satin finishes on a range of metal substrates. Fabrication shops and metal finishing technicians are the primary users.
This disc is designed for use in metalworking and fabrication environments where surface preparation quality and finish consistency matter. It is well suited for work on ferrous and non-ferrous metals in both production and maintenance settings. The conformable disc edge provides uniform contact across irregular or curved surfaces, reducing the risk of witness marks or uneven finish. Multiple discs can be stacked to cover larger surface areas or to extend the working life of a single setup, making it practical for high-throughput operations.
Designed as a general-purpose surface conditioning disc for use on metalworking equipment that accepts 16-inch diameter non-woven abrasive discs operating at or below 1300 RPM.
Mount this disc only on machines rated to accept 16-inch diameter non-woven abrasive discs and confirm the tool's free-speed RPM does not exceed the 1300 RPM rating marked on the disc before use. Power down and lock out the tool before mounting or removing the disc. Inspect the disc for tears, delamination, or damage before each use and do not use a damaged disc. Follow applicable ANSI and OSHA abrasive product safety standards for personal protective equipment including eye and face protection during operation.
