The 3M 7000132664 is a heavy-wall, heat-shrinkable cable sleeve designed for high-current electrical splices, connections, and terminations rated up to 1 kV. Built from cross-linked polyolefin with a factory-applied internal adhesive and sealant, it delivers both mechanical and environmental protection in a single installation step. At 48 inches in length, it is a cut-to-length format, giving installers flexibility to size each application precisely. The sleeve is highly split resistant and fast shrinking, reducing installation time on jobsites. UL Listed 486D for 600V (File E102356) and carries a CSA rating, making it code-acceptable in a wide range of commercial and industrial electrical installations.
This sleeve is suited for use on very large conductors in the 1500 to 2500 kcmil range, covering high-capacity feeder splices, terminations, and connection points in commercial, industrial, and utility electrical systems. Licensed electricians and journeymen working on medium-voltage feeder work, switchgear connections, and cable splice kits will find this sleeve appropriate for demanding environmental and mechanical protection requirements.
Designed for use with conductors in the 1500 to 2500 kcmil range on systems rated up to 1 kV, as part of the 3M ITCSN heavy-wall heat-shrinkable cable sleeve series.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician following applicable NEC requirements. De-energize and lock out the circuit completely before working on any splice or termination. Apply heat evenly along the sleeve using a calibrated heat gun, working from the center outward to avoid trapping air pockets. Do not use open flame torches on this sleeve type, as uneven or excessive heat can compromise the adhesive sealant layer and shrink integrity.
