The 3M 7000121341 is a low-melt, long-bonding-range hot melt adhesive designed for use with compatible hot melt applicator equipment. Supplied in a clear stick format measuring 5/8 inch in diameter and 2 inches in length, this adhesive is formulated to apply at lower temperatures than standard hot melts, which reduces the risk of heat damage to sensitive substrates. Weighing 1.07 pounds per unit, it is well suited for production and assembly applications where a fast-setting, reliable bond is required on lightweight or delicate materials. Technicians and assemblers in manufacturing, HVAC fabrication, and light assembly environments regularly specify this adhesive for its controlled open time and clean handling.
This adhesive is intended for bonding heat-sensitive substrates including styrene foam, wood, select plastics, corrugated board, and other lightweight materials. Its low-melt formulation makes it appropriate where conventional high-temperature adhesives would warp, melt, or degrade the workpiece. Typical applications include insulation board assembly, packaging fabrication, decorative panel bonding, and light fixture or ductwork liner attachment. It is dispensed using the 3M Scotch-Weld Hot Melt Applicator LT, which is sold separately.
Designed for use with the 3M Scotch-Weld Hot Melt Applicator LT. Compatible with heat-sensitive substrates including styrene foam, wood, select plastics, corrugated board, and lightweight materials.
Allow the applicator to reach full operating temperature before dispensing to ensure consistent flow and bond quality. Power down and unplug the applicator when changing adhesive sticks or clearing jams. Do not use this low-melt adhesive in high-temperature applicators rated above the product operating range, as this can degrade adhesive performance and create a safety hazard. Follow the applicator manufacturer guidelines and applicable workplace safety standards when operating hot melt equipment.
