The 3M 7000120982 is a unitized deburring wheel designed for surface conditioning and edge deburring on metal workpieces. Built with silicon carbide abrasive at a soft density grade 2, it delivers consistent cut and finish across a range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The wheel measures 6 inches in diameter with a 1/4 inch face width and a 3/4 inch center hole, making it compatible with standard arbors used on bench and inline grinding equipment. Rated to 5,000 RPM maximum, it is suited for controlled, lower-speed finishing operations where aggressive stock removal is not required. Machinists, fabricators, and tool-and-die technicians are the primary installers and users of this wheel type.
This deburring wheel is designed for use on centerless grinders, die grinders, inline sanders, manual backstands, and pressure assist backstands. It is well suited for light deburring, edge blending, and surface finishing tasks in production and job-shop environments. The fine grade and soft density make it appropriate for delicate finishing passes where preserving part geometry and avoiding over-cutting are priorities. It is sold individually as a single unit.
Compatible with centerless grinders, die grinders, inline sanders, manual backstands, and pressure assist backstands. Designed as a unitized deburring wheel for use on standard 3/4 inch arbors within the stated speed and application parameters.
Installation and mounting should be performed by a qualified machinist or grinding equipment operator familiar with wheel-mounting safety procedures. Always power down and fully de-energize the grinder before mounting or removing the wheel. Verify that the equipment spindle speed does not exceed the 5,000 RPM maximum rating of this wheel before operation. Inspect the wheel for damage before each use and follow applicable ANSI B11 and OSHA abrasive wheel safety standards.
