The 3M 7000120710 Scotch-Brite Cut and Polish Disc D5 is a five-disc non-woven abrasive assembly designed for surface finishing, cleaning, and light deburring on metal workpieces. Built on a 1/4 inch shank for use in die grinders, inline sanders, and similar power tools, it uses an aluminum oxide abrasive at a medium grade to deliver consistent cut-and-polish performance. The conformable, flexible web construction allows the disc to follow contoured and irregular surface profiles without loading or glazing. Technicians and fabricators reach for this disc when producing satin or high-luster finishes on ferrous and non-ferrous metals across a range of shop and field applications.
This disc assembly is well suited for work on bar grates, louvers, vents, tracks, and other irregular or hard-to-reach surfaces found in HVAC installations, ductwork fabrication, and sheet metal work. The five-disc stacked design increases coverage on larger surface areas while maintaining the flexibility that single-disc tools can lack. It is appropriate for both light production environments and maintenance tasks where surface condition matters. The 4 inch diameter and 1/4 inch arbor make it compatible with standard die grinders and pneumatic inline tools commonly used by sheet metal workers, HVAC technicians, and general fabricators.
Designed for use with die grinders, pneumatic inline sanders, and power tools accepting a 1/4 inch shank arbor. Suitable for surface finishing, cleaning, and light deburring on a variety of metals.
Mounting and use of this abrasive disc should be performed by personnel familiar with rotary abrasive tool safety. Verify the tool spindle speed does not exceed the rated RPM of the disc assembly before operation. Secure all workpieces and wear appropriate personal protective equipment including eye protection and gloves. Inspect the disc for damage before each use and replace immediately if the non-woven web shows signs of deterioration.
