The 3M 7000120562 is a Scotch-Brite finishing flap brush designed for surface conditioning, light deburring, and finishing work on metal, wood, and composite materials. Measuring 8 inches in diameter by 1 inch in face width with a 3-inch arbor hole, this brush mounts to bench grinders, pedestal grinders, and similar power equipment. The 5A FIN grit designation places it in the fine finishing range, making it suitable for final-pass surface prep, blending, and light oxide removal without aggressive stock removal. At 0.67 pounds, it is compact enough for high-cycle bench work. Fabricators, machinists, and metal finishing technicians are the primary users.
This flap brush is used in light industrial, fabrication shop, and maintenance environments where a controlled, consistent finish is required on workpiece surfaces. It is well suited for applications such as weld seam blending, surface deburring after machining, and prepping parts before coating or painting. The fine grit level makes it appropriate for final conditioning passes rather than heavy material removal. It is sold individually and available in a minimum quantity of 3 units per order.
Designed for use on bench grinders and pedestal grinders accepting a 3-inch arbor. Suitable for finishing applications on metal, wood, and composite surfaces where a fine, controlled surface condition is required.
Mounting should be performed by a qualified operator familiar with abrasive wheel and brush safety practices. Always power down and de-energize the grinder before mounting or removing the flap brush. Verify that the grinder spindle speed does not exceed the maximum RPM rating marked on the brush or packaging before operation. Eye protection and appropriate PPE are required during use per standard shop safety practices.
