The 3M 7000059409 is a pair of single mounting brackets designed for use with the 3M Fire Barrier Pass-Through Device in the 4-inch round configuration. These steel brackets provide additional structural support to the pass-through device when installed in wall or floor assemblies. Each pair includes the required bracketing screws for mounting on both sides of the assembly. The brackets work alongside the intumescent fire-rated material and foam smoke seal built into the pass-through device, helping maintain assembly integrity in rated fire-resistive constructions. Installation is typically performed by fire-stop contractors or journeyman electricians working under local building and life-safety codes.
These mounting brackets are used in commercial and residential construction applications where 3M Fire Barrier Pass-Through Devices are installed in fire-rated wall or floor assemblies. They are sold separately from the pass-through device itself and are intended to supplement the standard mounting method when additional support is required by the assembly design or the authority having jurisdiction. The brackets are compatible with the 4-inch round pass-through device configuration only. Square pass-through devices and stacked multi-device configurations require their own compatible hardware.
Designed for use with the 4-inch round 3M Fire Barrier Pass-Through Device. These brackets are sold separately from the pass-through device and the foam smoke seal replacement kits. Square device configurations require separate compatible mounting hardware.
Installation should be performed by a qualified fire-stop contractor or licensed electrician familiar with fire-rated assembly requirements. Power down and de-energize any electrical circuits passing through the assembly before beginning work. Follow all applicable local building codes and fire-resistive assembly listing requirements when positioning and fastening the brackets. Do not substitute non-listed hardware for the included bracketing screws, as the assembly listing may require the use of specified fasteners.
