The 3M 7000046533 is a one-component, 100% solids, moisture-curing polyurethane reactive (PUR) structural adhesive sold under the Scotch-Weld EZ250150 formulation. It bonds wood and select plastics in applications where a long open time is required for careful part positioning. The adhesive is both sprayable and extrudable, giving installers flexibility in application method. It cures through exposure to ambient moisture without mixing or a second component. Fabricators, woodworkers, and industrial assembly technicians working with wood, plastics, aluminum, or glass-to-plastic and glass-to-wood assemblies are the primary users of this product.
This adhesive is suited for structural bonding in residential millwork, cabinet manufacturing, furniture assembly, and light industrial fabrication. It handles material combinations that are difficult to join with standard adhesives, including aluminum or glass bonded to plastics or wood. The extended open time makes it practical for large surface lay-ups or assemblies that require fixture time before clamping. It is applied directly from the cartridge via extrusion or with spray equipment compatible with PUR adhesives.
Designed for structural bonding of wood and select plastics, including material combinations such as aluminum or glass bonded to plastics or wood. Confirm substrate compatibility with 3M technical data before use on untested materials.
Application should be performed in a well-ventilated area by personnel familiar with PUR adhesive handling procedures. Surfaces must be clean, dry, and free of contaminants before adhesive is applied. Once dispensed, the adhesive begins moisture cure and the cartridge tip should be purged and capped promptly to prevent premature gel. Follow applicable safety data sheet (SDS) guidance for skin and respiratory protection when spraying or extruding PUR adhesives.
