The 3M 7000006375 is a one-piece metal collar assembly designed to firestop non-metallic pipe, cables, and combination penetrations in rated wall and floor assemblies. The collar encases 3M Fire Barrier Wrap Strip Ultra GS, a heat-expanding intumescent material that closes off the annular space around a pipe during a fire event. It handles penetrations up to 3 inches in diameter and is tested and listed to achieve up to 3-hour fire-resistance ratings in approved systems. Licensed firestop contractors, plumbers, and electricians install this device in both new construction and retrofit applications where code-compliant through-penetration protection is required.
This device is suited for residential and commercial construction wherever non-metallic pipe, low-voltage cables, or mixed penetrations pass through fire-rated gypsum, concrete, or masonry assemblies. Its tool-free installation method accepts 3M Ultra Fast Anchors and a standard pliers, requiring three anchors per device (sold separately). Conventional anchoring methods such as toggle bolts for gypsum or masonry anchors for concrete are also compatible, giving installers flexibility across job conditions.
Designed for use on non-metallic pipe, cables, and combination penetrations up to 3 inches in fire-rated wall and floor assemblies in both new construction and retrofit installations. Use only in tested and listed system configurations per the device listing documentation.
Installation must be performed by qualified firestop contractors, licensed plumbers, or electricians in accordance with applicable building codes and the device listing requirements. Verify the penetration diameter and assembly type match a tested and listed system configuration before anchoring the collar. Three 3M Ultra Fast Anchors are required per device and are sold separately. Inspect the installed collar to confirm full contact with the pipe and substrate surface before closing the assembly.
