Product Description
3M 7000000942 is a one-component, moisture-curing polyurethane sealant (Polyurethane Sealant 540) supplied in a 300 mL cartridge that forms permanently elastic bonds. It adheres to plastics, fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP), sheet molding compound (SMC), aluminum, steel, coated metal, and wood. Typical properties include Shore A hardness of 40, tensile strength around 300 psi, elongation greater than 600 percent, VOC 54 g/L, and a service temperature range of -40 to 194 F.
- One-component, moisture-curing polyurethane sealant; supplied in 300 mL cartridge; pack quantity 12 cartridges per case.
- Bonds to plastics, FRP, SMC, aluminum, steel, coated metal and wood; paintable after skin forms (60 to 90 minutes); gap-filling capability.
- Physical properties: Shore A hardness 40; elongation >600%; tensile strength ~300 psi; specific gravity 1.17; viscosity ~300,000 cP; VOC 54 g/L; operating range -40 to 194 F.
