The 3M 7000000876 is the Part A (Accelerator) component of the Scotch-Weld Epoxy Adhesive 460, a toughened, two-part structural epoxy system. It is formulated for high-strength bonding across a wide range of substrates including metals, ceramics, wood, and select plastics. The system uses a 2:1 mix ratio and delivers approximately 60 minutes of working time after mixing, with handling strength achieved in roughly 4 hours. The cured adhesive provides good shear and peel strength along with solid impact resistance and long-term durability. This product is sold as the A-side only and requires the corresponding B-side component to form a complete adhesive system. Industrial assemblers, maintenance technicians, and fabricators typically apply this product.
Scotch-Weld Epoxy Adhesive 460 Part A is suited for industrial assembly, structural bonding, and repair applications where toughened epoxy performance is required. It is commonly used in manufacturing environments, maintenance and repair operations, and fabrication shops working with mixed-material assemblies. The off-white color aids in visual confirmation of proper mixing when combined with the B-side component. This product is supplied in a 5-gallon container, making it appropriate for high-volume production or large-scale bonding applications.
Designed for use exclusively with the corresponding 3M Scotch-Weld Epoxy Adhesive 460 Part B component in a 2:1 (B:A) mix ratio system. Do not combine with other epoxy hardeners or accelerators not specified for this product line.
This adhesive is applied by industrial assemblers or maintenance technicians following standard two-part epoxy dispensing procedures. Surfaces should be clean, dry, and free of oils or contaminants before application. Measure and combine Part B and Part A at the correct 2:1 ratio before use; improper mixing ratios will result in incomplete cure and reduced bond strength. Work within the 60-minute pot life and allow full handling time before applying load to bonded assemblies.
