The 3M 7000000549 is a coated abrasive quick-change disc designed for aggressive material removal in grinding and finishing applications. Part of the 3M 777F series, it features a ceramic abrasive grain on a polyester cloth backing rated at a YF backing weight. The Type R (Roloc TR) attachment system allows fast disc swaps without tools. Rated to a maximum of 25,000 RPM, this disc is built for use with compatible right-angle grinders and die grinders. At 36 grit, it falls in the very coarse grade range, making it suited for heavy stock removal, weld blending, and surface conditioning on metal substrates.

This disc is used in metal fabrication, welding shops, and maintenance applications where rapid material removal is required.
