The 3M 35-RED_3/4X66 is a 7-mil, red PVC electrical tape rated for 600 volts and designed for general-purpose electrical insulation, phase identification, and color-coding applications. The tape measures 3/4 inch wide by 66 feet long and uses a pressure-sensitive rubber-resin adhesive that bonds firmly to conductors, terminals, and piping. The PVC backing is flame-retardant and resistant to UV rays, abrasion, moisture, alkalis, solvents, and many acids. Electricians and maintenance technicians reach for this tape when insulating splices, coding motor leads, or marking safety areas. It carries UL, CSA, and VDE approvals and is RoHS compliant.
This tape is used in residential, commercial, and industrial electrical work wherever color-coded phase identification or conductor insulation is required. Common applications include marking motor leads, color-coding piping systems, identifying circuit phases, protecting conductors from moisture and corrosion, and flagging safety areas. The red finish makes it easy to distinguish phase or zone assignments at a glance on panels, junction boxes, and motor terminations. It is manufactured in the USA.
Designed as a general-purpose PVC electrical insulating and phase-identification tape suitable for use on low-voltage conductors, motor leads, piping systems, and electrical wiring up to 600 volts.
This tape is installed by licensed electricians and maintenance technicians in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). De-energize and lock out the circuit before applying tape to any conductor or terminal. Surfaces should be clean and dry for best adhesion. Do not use as the sole insulation on conductors operating above 600 volts.
