The 3M 3100522 is a personal self-retracting lifeline (SRL) with an anchor hook, engineered for direct connection to most full-body harnesses. Part of the DBI-SALA Nano-Lok line, this SRL features an extremely compact, lightweight housing that sits virtually unnoticed on a worker's back. A quick-activating, speed-sensing brake system arrests a fall within inches, achieving fall clearance at low heights where conventional lanyards fall short. Rated for a 140-kilogram capacity and built with a high-capacity external energy absorber, it is installed by qualified fall protection technicians on construction, industrial, and maintenance worksites.
This SRL is suited for applications requiring a low-profile lanyard replacement in residential and commercial construction, steel erection, roofing, and general industrial maintenance. The swiveling anchorage loop with carabiner allows direct overhead anchor connection or dorsal D-ring attachment on a compatible harness. Hot Works configurations are available with reinforced webbing incorporating Nomex and Kevlar fiber for environments with spark, weld spatter, or elevated heat exposure. The tension maintained on the lifeline at all times helps reduce dragging, snagging, and trip-fall hazards common on congested job sites.
Designed for direct connection to most full-body harnesses via the dorsal D-ring, and for use with compatible overhead anchor points. Single and twin-leg configurations are available to suit a range of fall protection system setups.
Installation and inspection must be performed by a competent person trained in fall protection systems per applicable OSHA and ANSI Z359 requirements. Before connecting or removing the SRL, ensure the anchor point is fully de-energized or otherwise secured and rated for the required load. Inspect the housing, lifeline, carabiner, and energy absorber for damage before each use. Do not modify, repair, or attempt to open the housing in the field.
