The SUPCO snat3165 is a neoprene air tubing section designed for use with air pressure switches in HVAC systems. The tubing measures 3/16 inch inside diameter and comes in a 5-foot length, making it a standard replacement for deteriorated or cracked pressure switch hoses. Neoprene construction provides resistance to ozone, heat, and compression set, which are the typical failure conditions for this type of tubing in forced-air heating and cooling equipment. HVAC technicians use this tubing during routine maintenance and system diagnostics.
Air pressure switch tubing carries the low-pressure signal from the inducer assembly or condensate trap to the pressure switch contacts in gas furnaces. A failed or cracked hose causes nuisance lockouts and no-heat calls. This tubing is cut to length on the job and connected by push-fit or barbed fittings depending on the equipment. It is appropriate for residential and light commercial gas furnace applications where 3/16 inch ID hose is specified.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement for air pressure switch tubing in residential gas furnaces and air handlers where 3/16 inch ID neoprene hose is required.
Installation is performed by licensed HVAC technicians. Power down the furnace and set the thermostat to the off position before disconnecting any pressure switch hose. Cut the tubing cleanly with a utility knife or tubing cutter to ensure a leak-free seat on barbed or push-fit ports. Inspect the pressure switch ports and inducer outlet for cracks or debris before installing the new tubing.
