The MSA 10194784 is a Class C, Type I hard hat designed for general industrial and construction applications where electrical hazard protection is not required. Built from vented polyethylene with a 4-point ratchet suspension system, this hard hat provides impact protection and all-day wearability on job sites. The short brim profile suits confined or low-clearance work areas. The ratchet adjustment accommodates a universal head size fit, reducing the need to stock multiple sizes. At 1.14 pounds, it is lightweight enough for extended wear during full shifts. Slotted brim channels allow attachment of accessories such as face shields or hearing protection.
This hard hat is suited for residential and commercial construction, general contracting, utilities, and industrial maintenance environments where top-impact protection is the primary requirement and electrical insulation is not mandated by the task. The vented shell supports airflow in warm outdoor or poorly ventilated indoor environments. The slotted design is compatible with standard clip-on accessories. Tradespeople including electricians working in Class C environments, carpenters, ironworkers, pipefitters, and general laborers are the primary end users.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use hard hat for general industrial and construction applications requiring ANSI Type I, Class C head protection. Compatible with standard slotted hard hat accessories.
Hard hats should be inspected before each use for cracks, dents, or suspension damage and replaced if any defects are found. The ratchet suspension should be adjusted to achieve a snug, stable fit before entering the work area. Suspension components and the shell should be replaced according to the manufacturer's service life recommendations and any applicable OSHA or site safety requirements. Do not alter, drill, or paint the shell, as this may compromise the structural integrity and ANSI rating.
