Magnasphere Corp MSS-301C-BLACK Recessed Magnetic Contact

Product Description

The MAGNASPHERE CORP MSS-301C-BLACK is a recessed magnetic contact switch designed for special application security and access control installations. The unit ships as a single assembly and includes one recessed switch body with one switch element and a single closed-loop circuit configuration. It is intended for use in door, window, or access-panel monitoring applications where a concealed, low-profile mounting point is required. Licensed electricians and alarm installation technicians are the typical trade professionals who install this component in both new construction and retrofit scenarios.

This contact switch is suited for residential and light commercial security installations where a discreet, in-frame mounting profile is preferred over surface-mount alternatives. The recessed form factor keeps the sensor hidden from view and reduces exposure to physical tampering. The single closed-loop output is compatible with standard alarm control panel input zones that monitor a normally closed circuit.

Key Features

• Recessed mounting design provides a concealed, tamper-resistant installation profile
• Single closed-loop circuit output for compatibility with standard alarm panel input zones
• Black finish for discreet integration into dark-colored door or window frames
• Ships as a complete single-unit assembly ready for installation
• Special application category rating suitable for demanding or non-standard contact sensing scenarios

Compatibility

Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation recessed magnetic contact switch for special application security and access control systems that accept a single closed-loop input zone.

Installation Notes

Installation should be performed by a qualified alarm technician or licensed low-voltage electrician in accordance with applicable local electrical codes. De-energize the alarm control panel and disconnect the zone wiring before handling any contact components. Drill the recess bore to the diameter specified in the product manual to ensure proper fit and reliable actuation. Avoid forcing the switch body into an undersized bore, as this can damage the magnetic element and result in false triggers.
