The ICP evdwx48m21a is a 4-ton, 48,000 BTU/h cased V-coil evaporator designed for vertical upflow and downflow installations in split-system air conditioning applications. The coil ships in a 24-gauge, pre-painted cool gray steel cabinet with foil-faced R-2.1 insulation for quiet, efficient operation. A factory-installed TXV metering device and microchannel hairpin construction are standard. Airflow capacity ranges from 1,200 to 2,000 CFM. This unit is compatible with R-410A refrigerant only and carries AHRI performance ratings along with UL and c-UL listings. Licensed HVAC technicians perform the installation as part of a complete split-system comfort system.
The evdwx48m21a is suited for residential and light-commercial split-system cooling applications where a vertical cased coil is required in either an upflow or downflow air handler configuration. The fully enclosed cabinet protects the coil assembly during handling and provides a finished appearance for equipment-room and utility-closet installs. System airflow should remain within the rated 1,200 to 2,000 CFM range to maintain AHRI-certified performance. This coil is intended for service replacement and new-installation use.
The evdwx48m21a is part of the ICP EVDWX series and is designed for use in R-410A split-system installations requiring a vertical cased V-coil in upflow or downflow orientation. Consult the system manufacturer for matched-system AHRI ratings.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician in accordance with local mechanical codes and the equipment manufacturer's instructions. Shut off all electrical power and recover any system refrigerant before opening refrigerant circuits. Liquid line connection is 3/8 inch and suction line connection is 7/8 inch — verify that field piping matches these sizes before brazing. The system must be leak-tested and properly evacuated before charging with R-410A refrigerant.
