The EWC CONTROLS EURD-9-MA15S is a 9-inch round, single-blade motorized damper designed for zoned HVAC air distribution and air quality control applications. It operates on a 24-volt, 3-wire circuit and features a two-position motor that is powered in both directions — powered open and powered closed — eliminating reliance on spring return. The motor completes its full travel in 15 seconds. Built-in LED indicators show damper position: red signals fully closed, green signals fully open. These indicators are failsafe — they do not illuminate until the blade reaches its full open or full closed position, confirming actual blade travel rather than motor signal alone.
This damper is suited for residential and light commercial HVAC zoning systems where positive two-position control is required. The round profile fits standard 9-inch round ductwork and is commonly installed in supply or bypass duct branches controlled by a zone control board or thermostat output. Its air quality application rating makes it appropriate for use in fresh air intake, ventilation, and zoning setups where confirmed blade position is critical to system performance.
Designed as an OEM-style motorized damper for use in residential and light commercial HVAC zoning and air quality control systems requiring a 9-inch round two-position damper with 24-volt low-voltage control.
Installation should be performed by a qualified HVAC technician familiar with low-voltage zoning controls and duct fabrication. Power down the air handler and de-energize the zone control panel before wiring or mounting the damper. Verify that the 3-wire low-voltage connections — common, power open, and power closed — are correctly terminated at the zone board before energizing. Do not force the blade manually while the motor is energized, as this may damage the motor assembly.
