The EWC CONTROLS EURD-14 is a single-blade, round motorized damper designed for two-position zone control in HVAC air distribution systems. The unit operates on 24 volts and uses a powered motor in both directions — powered open and powered closed — eliminating reliance on spring return. A 3-wire hookup connects via common, power-open, and power-closed legs. Built-in LED indicators display blade position: red signals fully closed and green signals fully open. These LEDs are failsafe-referenced, meaning they illuminate only after the blade reaches its full open or full closed position, giving technicians a reliable visual confirmation during commissioning and service.
The EURD-14 is suited for residential and light commercial HVAC zoning applications where air quality control and precise damper positioning are required. With a 14-inch round form factor, it fits standard round duct runs in forced-air systems. HVAC technicians typically install this damper as part of a zone control system, integrating it with a zone control board and low-voltage thermostat wiring. The two-position, 24-volt design makes it compatible with most standard zone control panels that support powered-open, powered-closed damper operation.
Designed as an OEM-style motorized round damper replacement or new-install component for 24-volt HVAC zone control systems requiring powered-open, powered-closed two-position damper operation.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician. Disconnect and lock out power to the air handler and zone control panel before installing or servicing the damper. Verify that the zone control board supports powered-open, powered-closed operation on the 24-volt damper output before wiring. Follow local mechanical codes and the zone control manufacturer wiring diagram when connecting the 3-wire motor leads.
