The EWC CONTROLS END-20X10-MA15S is a rectangular motorized zone damper designed for forced-air HVAC zoning systems. It measures 20 inches by 10 inches and operates on 24 VAC single-phase power at 50/60 Hz, drawing 1.5 amps. Constructed from aluminum with a silver finish, the damper features a heavy-duty frame, nylon bushings for quieter operation, and overlapping blades that deliver a 97 percent leak-proof rating. The integrated motor provides a manual gear release and is driven with sufficient torque for reliable open and close cycling. Built-in LEDs give installers a quick visual confirmation of damper position and fail-safe status. The motor is UL Listed. Licensed HVAC technicians typically perform installation in residential and light-commercial duct systems.
The END-20X10-MA15S is intended for use in HVAC zoning applications where individual zones require independent airflow control. It is rated for heat pump compatible systems and supports network zoning configurations. The damper operates across an ambient temperature range of 0 degrees F to 140 degrees F and is rated to a maximum temperature of 185 degrees F, making it suitable for both heating and cooling zone control. The motor is always mounted on the second dimension specified, which simplifies orientation planning during rough-in. A quick-connecting terminal block eliminates wire nuts and speeds up field wiring.
Designed for use with forced-air HVAC zoning systems requiring a 20-inch by 10-inch rectangular motorized damper. Compatible with the Ultra-Zone zoning system as stated by the manufacturer. Suitable for heat pump and conventional forced-air systems supporting 24 VAC zone control wiring.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician in accordance with applicable mechanical codes. Disconnect and lock out power to the air handler and zone control panel before beginning any wiring or duct work. The motor is always positioned on the second dimension specified when ordering, so confirm orientation before cutting the duct opening. Use the quick-connecting terminal block for field wiring connections and verify LED status indicators for proper damper travel before closing up the duct.
