The EWC CONTROLS END-16X8-MA15S is a motorized zone damper from the ND Series Ultra-Zone line, sized at 16 inches by 8 inches and built for HVAC zoning applications in residential and light commercial forced-air duct systems. The damper uses a power open/power closed, 3-wire motor rated at 17 inch-pounds of torque, giving it the authority to hold blade position accurately under system static pressure. A manual gear release is included for service situations. The motor is UL listed and NEMA Class 2 certified. Nylon bushings reduce operational noise, and an onboard LED display lets the installer verify open and closed positions without a separate meter.
This damper is designed for installation in rectangular supply or return duct runs as part of a multi-zone forced-air system. It fits a 16-inch by 8-inch duct opening. The ND Series is built to work within the EWC Ultra-Zone zoning system, pairing with compatible zone controllers to deliver independent temperature control across multiple areas of a structure. The quick-connecting terminal block accepts direct wire terminations without wire nuts, which speeds commissioning and simplifies future service calls. The damper carries a 97 percent leak-proof rating, with overlapping blades that limit bypass air between zones.
Designed for use with the EWC Ultra-Zone zoning system and compatible with standard 16-inch by 8-inch rectangular duct openings in residential and light commercial forced-air HVAC installations.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician familiar with forced-air zoning systems. Shut down the air handler and de-energize the zone control panel before wiring or mounting the damper. Verify duct dimensions and airflow direction before fastening the damper frame into the duct. Consult local mechanical codes and the zone controller wiring diagram when making low-voltage control connections at the terminal block.
