The EWC CONTROLS END-10X18-MA15S is a rectangular motorized zone damper designed for residential and light-commercial HVAC zoning applications. Measuring 10 x 18 inches, it operates on 24 volts with a 3-wire power-open/power-closed configuration. The damper features a heavy-duty frame with nylon bushings for quieter operation, an onboard LED display for visual status confirmation, and a 15-second motor cycle time. A manual gear release is built into the motor for manual override during service. Licensed HVAC technicians install this damper as part of a ducted forced-air zoning system to deliver independent temperature control across multiple zones.
The END-10X18-MA15S is suited for rectangular duct systems requiring a 10 x 18 inch damper opening. It is part of EWC CONTROLS ND series and is designed to integrate with the Ultra-Zone zoning system platform. The damper is appropriate for residential new construction and retrofit zoning projects where independent zone control and low air leakage are required. Overlapping blades and a positive-off motor provide accurate airflow regulation. Motor mounting is fixed to the second dimension specified, which on this unit positions the motor on the bottom.
Designed for use with the EWC CONTROLS Ultra-Zone zoning system. Fits rectangular duct openings of 10 x 18 inches. Motor is always mounted on the second dimension specified, placing it on the bottom for this configuration.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician familiar with low-voltage zone control wiring. Shut down the air handler and de-energize the zoning control panel before connecting or disconnecting wiring at the terminal block. Verify duct dimensions match the damper frame size before mounting to avoid air bypass around the frame. Confirm LED status indicators show proper open and closed response during system commissioning before closing up the duct.
