The DAKOTA SOURCING 13207 is a copper male adapter fitting designed to transition between a copper tube connection and a male pipe thread (MPT) connection. The fitting accepts a 1-1/8 inch outer diameter copper tube on the sweat end and terminates in a 1 inch male pipe thread on the opposite end. It is used to connect copper piping systems to threaded pipe fittings, valves, or equipment ports. Licensed plumbers and HVAC technicians install this adapter during new construction, retrofit, and repair work in potable water, hydronic heating, and refrigeration piping systems.
This adapter is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing and HVAC installations where a copper sweat-to-threaded transition is required. Typical applications include connecting copper supply lines to threaded valve bodies, manifolds, equipment inlets, and fixture supply ports. The fitting is installed wherever a system transitions from a soldered copper run to a threaded connection point.
Designed as an OEM-style transition fitting for copper piping systems requiring a sweat-to-male-pipe-thread connection at 1-1/8 inch OD copper tube and 1 inch MPT.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber or HVAC technician following applicable IPC and local plumbing code requirements. Shut off and depressurize the water or refrigerant system and allow all piping to cool completely before soldering. Clean and flux all mating copper surfaces before applying heat, and apply thread sealant or PTFE tape to the MPT threads before assembly. Do not overheat the fitting during soldering, as excessive heat can damage the fitting or surrounding materials.
