The DAKOTA SOURCING 13116 is a copper reducing coupling in a C x C (copper-to-copper sweat) configuration, used to transition between two different tube sizes in a plumbing or HVAC refrigerant line. It connects a 3/4-inch OD (5/8-inch ID) tube on one end to a 5/8-inch OD (1/2-inch ID) tube on the other. The coupling is designed for soldered connections and is installed by licensed plumbers and HVAC technicians wherever a reducer fitting is required in a copper line set or water distribution system.
This reducing coupling is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing systems, including domestic water supply lines and HVAC refrigerant piping. The C x C end configuration requires sweat soldering on both ends, making it a standard choice for copper tube transitions in new construction and service work alike.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting compatible with standard copper tube in plumbing and HVAC line applications where a sweat-style reducing coupling is required.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or HVAC technician in accordance with the International Plumbing Code (IPC) or applicable local codes. Shut off and depressurize the water or refrigerant line before cutting and fitting. Both tube ends must be cleaned, deburred, and fluxed before soldering. Do not apply heat to a pressurized or wet line.
