The DAKOTA SOURCING 13108 is a copper coupling designed for joining copper tubing in plumbing, HVAC, and refrigeration piping systems. It features a roll stop shoulder that seats the tube ends at a consistent depth, ensuring a reliable, leak-free solder or braze joint. The coupling has an outside diameter of 1-1/8 inches and an inside diameter of 1 inch, making it a standard-size fitting for nominal 1-inch copper tube. Licensed plumbers and HVAC refrigeration technicians are the primary installers of this fitting.
This coupling is suited for residential and light commercial applications where nominal 1-inch copper tubing is used in supply water lines, hydronic heating loops, refrigerant piping, or similar fluid-handling systems. The roll stop design eliminates guesswork during pipe alignment and helps maintain consistent joint quality across multiple connections on a single job.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-stock fitting for nominal 1-inch copper tubing systems in residential and light commercial plumbing, HVAC, and refrigeration installations.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or certified HVAC-R technician in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and ASHRAE refrigerant piping standards. Shut off and depressurize the system, then purge refrigerant or water before cutting into any existing line. Clean and flux all mating surfaces thoroughly before applying heat to ensure a sound solder or braze joint. Do not apply flux or heat to a pressurized line.
