The DAKOTA SOURCING 13047 is a 45-degree copper street elbow designed for sweat-solder plumbing connections in residential and light commercial piping systems. With a 5/8-inch outer diameter and 1/2-inch inner diameter, it follows the FTG x C (fitting-to-copper) connection pattern, allowing one male sweat end to insert directly into a fitting hub without an additional coupling. This configuration saves space and reduces the number of joints in tight installations. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters use this fitting to change flow direction by 45 degrees in copper water supply, hydronic heating, and light mechanical systems.
The 13047 is suited for horizontal and vertical copper tube runs where a gradual 45-degree direction change is required. Its FTG x C design is common in residential water supply lines, baseboard heating loops, and similar close-quarter installations where adding a full coupling would create unnecessary bulk. The fitting is used with standard 1/2-inch nominal copper tubing and integrates into existing copper systems without special adapters.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting compatible with standard 1/2-inch nominal copper tubing systems using sweat-solder (FTG x C) connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Shut off water supply and fully drain the line before cutting or sweating any fitting. Use appropriate flux and lead-free solder as required by code for potable water applications. Allow the joint to cool completely before restoring pressure and inspecting for leaks.
