The DAKOTA SOURCING 13036 is a 45-degree copper elbow fitting used to redirect copper tubing runs at a 45-degree angle in plumbing, HVAC, and refrigeration systems. It connects copper tube to copper tube using a sweat (solder) connection on both ends. The fitting has a 3/8 inch outer diameter and a 1/4 inch inner diameter. Licensed plumbers and HVAC technicians use this type of fitting when a straight run needs to change direction without a sharp 90-degree bend, keeping flow resistance low and tubing runs clean.
This elbow is suited for residential and light commercial applications where copper tubing is used for refrigerant lines, potable water supply, or hydronic heating. The sweat-by-sweat (C x C) configuration means both ends accept standard copper tubing and require soldering for a permanent, pressure-rated connection. It is appropriate for use in tight spaces where a gradual directional change is needed along a tubing run.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for copper tubing systems requiring a 45-degree directional change with sweat-end connections at the 3/8 inch OD size.
Installation requires a licensed plumber or qualified HVAC technician where local codes mandate. Shut off and depressurize the tubing system completely before cutting or fitting. Both mating tube ends must be cut square, deburred, and cleaned with emery cloth, and flux must be applied before soldering per standard copper soldering practice. Follow all applicable local plumbing codes and IFGC or IPC guidelines for the system type being serviced.
