The DAKOTA SOURCING 13017 is a 90-degree long-radius copper elbow with a 1-1/8 inch outer diameter and a 1 inch inner diameter, configured for copper-to-copper (C x C) sweat connections. This fitting is used to redirect refrigerant or fluid lines at a 90-degree angle while maintaining smooth, low-restriction flow through the longer turn radius. The C x C end connections are designed for soldering by qualified technicians. HVAC technicians and plumbers install this type of fitting during new construction, system retrofits, or repair work on copper piping systems.
The 13017 long-radius elbow is suited for residential and light commercial HVAC and plumbing applications where copper tubing must change direction. The long-radius design reduces pressure drop and turbulence compared to short-radius elbows, making it appropriate for refrigerant lines, hydronic systems, and domestic water piping. Its 1-1/8 inch OD sizing is common in refrigerant suction line and medium-capacity water distribution runs.
Designed as an OEM-style sweat fitting compatible with standard 1-1/8 inch OD copper tubing used in residential and light commercial HVAC refrigerant lines and plumbing systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician or plumber. Shut off and recover refrigerant or isolate and drain the water system before cutting into any existing line. Clean and flux both the tube and fitting socket surfaces thoroughly before applying heat for a sound solder joint. Follow applicable local plumbing codes and ASHRAE or IFGC guidelines for copper fitting installations.
