The DAKOTA SOURCING 13015 is a 90-degree long-radius copper elbow fitting designed for sweat (solder) copper-to-copper connections. With an outer diameter of 3/4 inches and an inner diameter of 5/8 inches, this fitting redirects copper tubing runs at a right angle while maintaining consistent flow through a longer sweep than a standard short-radius elbow. Plumbers and pipefitters use long-radius elbows when reduced pressure drop and smoother flow transitions are priorities in a system. The C x C (copper by copper) end configuration accepts standard copper tubing on both ends for a soldered joint.
This fitting is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing systems, hydronic heating lines, and refrigeration or HVAC piping where copper tubing is the primary material. The long-radius body reduces turbulence at direction changes, making it appropriate for hot and cold water supply lines, radiant floor heating loops, and chilled water piping. Licensed plumbers typically install this fitting as part of new rough-in work or retrofit piping runs requiring a 90-degree turn without a tight bend.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for copper piping systems using standard 3/4 inch OD copper tubing with sweat connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable IPC or local plumbing codes. Shut off the water supply and fully drain the line before beginning work. Clean tubing ends and fitting cups with emery cloth, apply flux, and solder with an appropriate lead-free solder per code requirements. Allow joints to cool fully before restoring system pressure.
