The DAKOTA SOURCING 13013 is a 90-degree long-radius copper elbow fitting with a 1/2-inch outer diameter and a 3/8-inch inner diameter, joined in a copper-to-copper (C x C) configuration. This fitting is used to redirect copper tubing runs at a 90-degree angle while maintaining full flow and structural integrity through the joint. The long-radius design reduces turbulence and pressure drop compared to standard short-radius elbows. Licensed plumbers and HVAC technicians install this fitting using standard soldering techniques on copper tubing systems.
This elbow is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing, hydronic heating, and refrigerant line applications where a smooth directional change in a copper tubing run is required. The C x C end connections accept standard copper tube for sweat-soldered joints, making it compatible with conventional copper piping installations. It is commonly installed in supply lines, distribution headers, and branch connections where space and flow efficiency are priorities.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and general-use fitting for standard copper tubing systems using sweat-soldered C x C connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified HVAC technician in accordance with applicable IPC and local plumbing codes. Shut off and depressurize the water or refrigerant system fully before cutting into any existing line. Clean all mating tube surfaces and fitting sockets with emery cloth and apply flux prior to soldering. Allow the joint to cool completely before restoring system pressure.
