The Caddy 454012 is a standard-duty split ring hanger designed for the suspension of stationary, non-insulated pipe lines. Manufactured by nVent ERICO, this hanger is constructed from steel with an EPDM-SBR lining and an electrogalvanized finish, giving it a load rating of 300 pounds and a temperature range of -58 to 230 degrees F. The hinged clamp design eliminates the need to disassemble the unit before installation and can be closed with one hand without turning a screw. A welded 3/8 inch cap nut is included for direct attachment to threaded rod. The combo head bolt accepts slotted, hex, or Phillips drivers. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and mechanical contractors install this hanger in commercial and industrial pipe support applications.
The 454012 is sized for 2-1/2 inch IPS pipe and accommodates an outer diameter range of 2.744 to 2.874 inches. It is suited for steel pipe and copper tube in stationary, non-insulated systems. The electrogalvanized finish provides corrosion resistance in interior mechanical room and plenum environments. The all-steel closing mechanism retains structural integrity when exposed to elevated temperatures, making this hanger appropriate for HVAC, plumbing, and light industrial piping systems. The 3/8 inch hanger mounting size is compatible with standard 3/8 inch threaded rod commonly used in pipe rack and trapeze support configurations.
Designed for 2-1/2 inch IPS steel pipe and copper tube in stationary, non-insulated pipe support installations. Mounts to standard 3/8 inch threaded rod.
Installation is typically performed by licensed plumbers, pipefitters, or mechanical contractors. Depressurize and isolate the pipe system before securing any hanger hardware. Ensure the threaded rod and cap nut connection meets the load requirements specified for the application per applicable mechanical codes. Do not use this hanger on insulated or moving pipe lines where a different hanger type is required.
